Social Services
Empowering underprivileged communities in Katihar and across Bihar through education, skill development, and community-driven social initiatives.
Education & Skills as Tools for Social Change
Englishpedia Social Services is the community-focused wing of Englishpedia Foundation, a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Organization. We believe that real social change begins with access — access to education, to digital skills, and to guidance that helps a person imagine a better future.
This wing carries out education-based social work in Katihar and neighbouring regions of Bihar — from government and NGO-backed projects to grassroots community workshops — creating long-term impact rather than short-term relief.
What This Wing Does
Education-based social work carried out across Katihar and Bihar.
Government & NGO Projects
Collaborating with government bodies and NGOs on education and skill-development initiatives across the region.
Community Awareness Programs
On-ground outreach that helps communities understand available learning paths, skilling opportunities, and support programs.
Free Education & Skill Initiatives
Subsidised and, in select cases, near-free access to education and skill training for underprivileged students.
School & Community Workshops
Hands-on workshops conducted at schools and community levels to build practical, real-world skills.
Our Purpose
To Create Positive, Lasting Social Impact Through Education
At Englishpedia Foundation, our Social Services wing exists to close the gap between opportunity and access. Across Katihar and the wider Bihar region, thousands of bright, capable students are held back not by ability, but by a lack of affordable education, digital skills, and career guidance. Our purpose is to change that — by delivering education-based social work through government and NGO-backed projects, free skill-development initiatives, community awareness drives, and on-ground workshops that reach students where they are.
We measure our success not in numbers alone, but in the futures we help reshape — a student who clears a competitive exam, a community that gains digital literacy, a family whose child becomes the first graduate. This is what drives every social initiative we run, today and into the future.
Access
Making quality education and skill training reachable for every underserved learner.
Empowerment
Equipping individuals with the tools, confidence, and guidance to shape their own future.
Impact
Building measurable, long-term social change across Katihar and Bihar’s communities.
Our Legacy
The ₹1 Education Program
Launched in 2014, the ₹1 Education Program was born from a simple belief — that no student in Katihar or across Bihar should ever be denied quality education because of financial hardship. For a symbolic fee of just ₹1, Class XII Bihar Board students received structured, high-quality English coaching designed to help them clear their board exams with confidence.
Over eight years, the program supported multiple batches of students, many of whom went on to pursue higher education and better career opportunities. Though it formally concluded in 2022, its philosophy still shapes every social initiative we design today — proof that even the smallest fee should never stand between a student and their future.
